En 1816, Maria se casó con su admirador y amante Philippe Antoine d´Ornano, Conde d´Ornano. Tuvieron un hijo de nombre Rudolph Augustus. Ella murió en Paris después de una prolongada enfermedad. Antes de su muerte ella completó sus memorias que envió a su esposo. Debido a requerimientos de sus parientes polacos, su cuerpo fue exhumado del Pere Lachaise Cemetery en Paris y trasladado a la cripta en Kiernozia.
