    Born to August & Elizabeth (Peitz) Dubbert May 23, 1868 near St Thomas, Mo. She was married first on 6 Sept 1887 in St Thomas, Cole County, to Wilhelm "Henry" Brockwinkel. (Who was baptized Bockwinkel, in Osage county). Their son was August Brockwinkel, b 1899 d 1955 and their daughters were Regina Gertrude (Brockwinkel) Kleffner born 1895 (wife of Alois L Francis Kleffner. Both Regina and husband are at Holy Family parish cemetery, Freeburg, Mo) and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Brockwinkel) Callahan. They also had a daughter Maria T Brockwinkel who died as a baby 1891. She is buried at St Thomas.
    After the death of Henry Brockwinkel, Mary Ann married a second time to widower, John Conrad Wankum who was raising eleven of his twelve children from his first wife Anna Marie Bax. Mary & John then had their combined families of fourteen children to raise, but they added three more to their big family. Otto George Wankum born May 13, 1908, died 1980 and is buried in Meta. (Otto married Barbara Marie Rackers). John and Mary's daughter was Angela Anna Wankum born 1910,(she married Emil J Walther). Angela & Emil are buried here in this St Thomas cemetery. John and Mary had another son named Martin who died as a baby and is buried in Meta.
    When John died, Mary Ann then married a third time in 1938 George W Schell (1863-1944) and outlived him too. All of Mary's husbands are in this same cemetery.
