Notes about Audrey Poyntz

NOTE: She, and her sister Susan, were effectively disinherited bytheir grandfather Gabriel Poyntz in favour of the son of hisdaughter who changed his name from Morris to Poyntz.The new heirs to the estates in fact died out and some of theirrelatives tried to keep hold of the estates but Audrey succeededin wresting the whole lot back in 1647. See Maclean's "Memoirsof the Family of Poyntz" pp. 39-45.
