After the war, he lived in Australia for a while. During the war he was in Indonesia and the Japanese put all Europeans in camps for the duration. He recuperated in Australia and then moved to London in the early fifties.

 

When he was in Paris, he changed his name to Cornelius Conyn.

 

He was a dance critic. He wrote reviews. He wrote a book on dance, in English. It's title may be Four Centuries of Dance. He never married.
