Salomon Davids, later Salomon David Meibergen, received on 26 August
1789, together with his older half-brother Levie Emanuel (later Levie
Emanuel Goudsmit) and Levie's young son (E)manuel citizenship of the
town Rijssen, where all three of them were born.
The half brothers had a joint business in textiles and leather and in
1792 they appeared before the Magistrate in Rijssen with the request
to dissolve thir partnership, as Salomon David was to be married and
intended to move to Almelo, where he already purchased a house.
An additional document proves that his wife to be was called Bette
Joseph Schaap.
