MSgt Jack T. Waterlander, 77, U. S. Air Force (Ret.), of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Grace Schaap Waterlander, died Tuesday morning, January 5, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, he was the son of the late Elmer Waterlander and the late Tina Harmens Waterlander. Jack was a member of the Church of Christ. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service. MSgt Waterlander was awarded numerous commendations including the Silver Star. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Friday evening at Gamble Funeral Service – 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o’clock Saturday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Minister Mark J. Ward. Entombment, with full military honors, will be in Hillcrest Abbey – West.
