Zestig jaar lief en leed gedeeld

MAARSBERGEN - Omringd door familie vierden de heer en mevrouw Pater maandag hun zestigjarig huwelijksfeest. Een respectabel aantal jaren deelden zij lief en leed in Maarsbergen.
Het was na de dood van Koningin Emma dat de heer Pater naar Maarsbergen kwam en hij zijn grote liefde ontmoette. Na een verkering van vijf en een half jaar besloten zij met elkaar te trouwen. Een huwelijk dat inmiddels al zestig jaar stand heeft gehouden en waaruit drie kinderen zijn geboren. De vijf kleinkinderen hebben het geslacht nog verder uitgebreid met vier achterkleinkinderen.
Al die jaren heeft het bruidspaar in Maarsbergen aan de Hof ter Heideweg gewoond. Daar kwam op de trouwdag ook burgemeester Marian Burgman op bezoek om het paar te feliciteren. Tot groot verdriet moet het echtpaar Pater volgende week hun geliefde stek verruilen voor een woning in Zorgcentrum De Lichtenberg, wat voor echte buitenmensen wel even wennen zal zijn. Groot pluspunt is echter dat zij wel gezellig bij elkaar kunnen blijven en samen kunnen werken aan een nieuw huwelijksjubileum.
