KOSIER Norman "Scott"
Loving husband, father and grandfather, Norman "Scott" Kosier passed away peacefully into God's hands on May 29, 2015. He was born in Toledo on May 1, 1930, to Truman and Stella Kosier.
Norman was a hardworking, gentle and kind man. He previously worked for the RailRoad and for the Toledo Public Schools in the grounds maintenance department. Norman enjoyed spending his summers at Poplar's Resort in Hillsdale, Michigan with his family and many friends. He loved teaching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to fish at the lake. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved doing his own special "Riverdance".
Norman served our country and was a Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Maryann "Carol"; his son, Scott (Kimberly) Kosier of Toledo OH; daughters, Brenda (Mike) Couturier of Eagle River, AK, Stella (Roger) Wohlgamuth of Sylvania, OH, and Kim (Kurt Sommer) Ellison of Toledo, OH; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and sister, Florence (Bill) Charest of Locust Grove, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ursula Cantwell, Dorothy Abbe and Shirley Solly, and his twin brother, Truman "Joe" Kosier.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 1, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Neville Funeral Home, Reynolds Corners Chapel, 5052 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH (419-535-0951), where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the ICU and staff at Flower Hospital for their exceptional care.
