Gertrude Christine Dirks, 89, of Worthington, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 1995, at Worthington Regional Hospital.

Born Aug. 25, 1905, In Omaha, Neb., she was the daughter of Emil and Marie Talbod. She married Mike Dirks March 27, 1928, in Minneapolis. He died in 1990.

She was a 1925 graduate of Benson High School, Omaha, and attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. After marriage the couple moved to Slayton, to Rushmore and then to Worthington in 1936. She was a member of the WestminsterPresbyterian Church, Worthington, and the Ladies Circles.

Surviving are one son, Richard Dirks, Eau Claire; one brother, Bill Talbod, Worthington; one sister, Aimee Ahmanson, California; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Lynch-Dingmann Funeral Home, Worthington.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Worthington, with the Rev. Glenn Polzine officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Gardens Cemetery."
