Birth from about 1725 to 1745 Reason: After more research and reading his will, where it mentions it being translated from the Dutch, I believe he was in fact either born in Germany, or his parents were. He had to have been born by 1735 to have fathered Christian Christopher Salsberry in 1753.

My thinking possibly this William (born Jan. 20 1745) may have been the brother of Christian C Salsbury .. makes more sense and then their father was (Salzburg) born dates would be more likely 1720 1730… Bingolfing LLandau Bayern GERMANY.. Brief Life History
William Salsberry (or any one of the spellings of his surname) was not married to Margaret Moore. The William Salsbury who was her husband died in Philadelphia in 1778. Also, Margaret Moore was not the daughter of Judge William Moore and his wife Williamina Weems. All of their children had birth records in Philadelphia, and they were all mentioned and accounted for in Williamina Moore's will in 1784, and there was NO Margaret. The Margaret Moore who married William Salsbury in 1760 was the daughter of Robert Moore. From William Salsbury's will in 1778, only one son was mentioned, John Salsbury who was born in Philadelphia in 1762. They also had a daughter named Elizabeth born in 1761.
