Orville E. Stevenson, age 86, of Wauseon, was welcomed into his eternal home with Jesus on Monday morning, January 11, 2016, at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. Prior to his retirement in 1989 he had worked for B. A. Miller and Son and Norwalk Truck Lines.

Orville was born in Rawson, Ohio on October 31, 1929, the son of Howard and Bernice (Freck) Stevenson. In 1947 he married Phyllis Durham, and she preceded him in death in 1985. In 1988 he married Donna J. Williams, and she survives. He was a member of the First Church of God in Wauseon. He was also an avid golfer.

Surviving, besides his wife, Donna, are four daughters, Sue (Ken) Luessenhop of Ft. Wayne, IN, Kay (John) Cattell of Defiance, Kim (Mark) McKibben of Toledo, Joy (Kim) Oelke of Defiance; one son, Hal (Sue Woolace) Stevenson of Evansport; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three step-sons, Bob (Joyce) Williams of Centerville, OH, Gary (Debra) Williams of Bethel, OH, Randy (Angie) Williams of Albuquerque, NM; one step-daughter, Charlette Kerivan of CT; nine step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Phyllis; and two brothers, Leon and Ray Stevenson.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the First Church of God in Wauseon, with the Rev. Paul Flores, officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Senior Independence Hospice or the First Church of God. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
