Reentje de Neui Kuper Birth 3 Nov 1865 Grundy County, Iowa, USA Death 14 May 1945 (aged 79) Lennox, Lincoln County, South Dakota, USA Burial Lennox Cemetery Lennox, Lincoln County, South Dakota, USA Memorial ID 28889962

Reentje was born to Johannes and Frauke (Wienenga) DeNeui.

Mrs. Kuper had been in comparatively good health until Aug. 4 of last year when she fell and fractured her hip. She was confined to her bed for nearly eight months, but recently was able to be up and around and walk outside for a short time each day. However, on the morning of May 5, while eating her breakfast, she suffered a paralytic stroke. For a week her condition was quite favorable, but on Sunday took a sudden turn for the worse and she passed peacefully into that eternal rest early the following morning.

Reintje DeNeui, daughter of Johannes and Frauke DeNeui, was born in Grundy County, Iowa on Nov. 3, 1865. She spent her early years in that locality.

On March 19 1887 she was united in marriage to Harm Kuper.

The couple moved onto a farm near Wellsburg, Iowa, where they lived for 34 years. In 1921 they retired from farm life and took up their residence in Lennox, and here she made her home for 24 years.

This union was blessed with ten children, two of whom died in infancy. Mr. Kuper passed away on Dec. 26, 1934.

Deceased is survived by eight children, namely, Mrs. Henry Bruns, Mrs. Wm. Behrends, Mrs. Chris Hoek and Joe, all living in this community, Mrs. Ben Aukes and Cornie Kuper of Wellsburg, IA, Dick of Applington, IA; 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
