Notes about Dirk Cornelius (Dirk Cornelius "Dick") "Dick" Kuper

Dick Cornelius Kuper

Sources: Author: Hull, LaRie, "Kuper's at Holthuserheide, Ostfriesland, Germany," (Publication location: Fergus Fls., MN, Publisher: LH, Publication date: xii Dec MCMXCIV)

Birth & christening source: La Rie Hull writes, "Dick Cornelius Kuper 10.1864" on her listing entitled, "KUPER'S AT HOLTHUSERHEIDE, OSTFRIESLAND, GERMANY" - xii Dec MCMXCIV - Fergus Fls., MN.

Mrs. Hull cites her christening source: LDS CHURCH RECORDS WYMEER, 1,256,921

Might his name be instead, 'Dirk'? When visiting Ostfriesland, a relative, whose name was Dirk was called what sounded like Dick.

"(d) KUPER *\\+ bef 10 Sep 1910 Lennox, SD [3y]\\R: p Dirk KUPER and his w\\\\L"

I believe this obiit for the unnamed daug. of Dirk Kuper is Bertha Kuper b. 4 Aug 1907 d. 8 Aug 1910. This would add credence to my earlier hypothesis that Dick's name is Dirk. Based on this latest data, I am changing the name from Dick to Dirk 'Dick'- D.A. Navorska - ii Feb MMII - Irving TX

This obiit would indicate Jantje was married twice & that Dirk was from her marriage before she married Cornelius. - D.A. Navorska - x Oct MMIV - Irving TX
