"Clarence Wolfe

Clarence H. Wolfe, 85, os 5 W. Union St., Greenwich, Ohio, was pronounced dead on arrival at Norwalk Fisher-Titus Hospital Tuesday. He had suffered a lengthy illness.

A native of Mercer County, he had moved in 1920 to Huron County where he farmed for many years. He was a cement finisher for A. J. Baltes for over 10 years and had retired from the Greenwich Street Department where he had worked for six years.

Surviving are six daughters, Evelyn Wacker of Fremont; Erma Coy, New London; Almeta Thomas, Collins; June May and Helen Miller, Greenwich; and Ruth Witt of Norwalk; a son Howard of New London; 23 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley of Findlay and Robert of New London.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Chloe, in August of 1980, and also by a daughter.

The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Christ, 6 Townsend St., Greenwich.

Friends may call at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Thursday.

It was suggested that any memorials be to the Church of Christ."
