Biography
Oldest child of David Lyle Williams and Ann Abigail Gough. She married Samuel Henan Dragoo on October 12, 1881 a dairy farmer and school teacher. They had 10 children Katie, W. Frankie, Anna, Ethel "Gertie", Fred, Nellie, Lily, Belty, Thomas and Laura. As a girl she lived in one of the most beautiful brick houses on Riverside Avenue. She attended grade school on West Jackson Street in Muncie. Since no high school was available, she went 4 years in the 8th grade. She sang beautifully, understood all facets of music thoroughly, loved to read, could answer all questions satisfactorily. She never weighed more than 90 pounds and was a doll of a female. Rebecca (Becky) was most attractive and very popular and sought after by the young males of the area.
