Memorial services for Gail L. Adams, 74, of Rochester, MN will be at 11:00am on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.

Gail Lettice Gunther was born on December 12, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN to George and Hazel (Lawrence) Gunther. She died on April 22, 2014 at Cottagewood Senior Communities Memory Care.

Gail graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota in two years with a BA degree in Spanish and minor in English. She married Michael Adams on November 25, 1960 in Minneapolis. She worked as a librarian at the University of Minnesota and the Rochester Public Library in the music and media department. She also worked at JC Penney's and was a district sales manager for AVON. She was a member of the Rochester Business Womens Association, Rochester Sacred Dance Guild and the First Unitarian Universalist Church. Gail enjoyed square dancing, hiking, horseback riding and spending time with her husband, Mike. She had boundless energy and unmatched devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Adams of Rochester, MN; her children, Brian (Nanci) Adams of Zumbrota, MN, Brett (Kim) Adams, Brendan (Amy) and Bryce (Cheryl) Adams, all of Rochester, MN; her beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Sean, Justin, Jenna, Taryn, Bryn and Taylor and her sister, Jennifer Lewin of Robbinsdale, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Special thanks to everyone at Cottagewood for their exceptional care.
