Per The New England Historical & Genealogical Register, Volume 166, pages 219-222, July 2012 in the article titled "The English origin of John Ingersoll of Westfield, Massachusetts: additional evidence from Stepney Parish registers" by Janet Chevalley Wolfe, the author provides proof that John Eaton of Shadwell, who married Alice Gowrde, was the father of Margery, not John Eaton of Poplar, who married Isabell Hudson.
