Caroline Justine Budde known as Lena, was the daughter of Christine Louise Sophia (Kasten) Krehmeier or Kraehmeyer and Ernst Heinrich Budde. Christine, widow of Carl Heinrich Krehmeier or Kraehmeyer, b. GER, immigrated to the USA through Castle Gardens, coming with daughter, 2 sons, and younger daughter Frederike Wilhelmine Carolina Krehmeier or Kraehmeyer, age 9, on the ship BREMER. Widow Christen soon married Ernst Heinrich Budde and had two children with him. He had just arrived from GER with his family and was a widower. Christine and Louis Budde were their only children together, but both spouses had extended families with their first spouses, all born in GER. Christine Budde m. William Johann Wiechert.
