p 11, History of the Atwood Family, in England and the United States, 1888, by Charle Atwood:
Harman Atwood first appears as admitted to be a townsman of Boston, Dec. 26, 1642. Was a member of Artillery Co., 1644. Admitted in Boston as a Freeman (that is a voter) in May, 1645. In August 11, 1646 married to Ann, daughter of Wm. Cops. His son, John, (5 days old) was baptized Sept 5, 1647. His daughter Sarah baptized May 26, 1650. He died in 1650. In 1651, Oct 8 administration granted to his widow for herself and her two children. His inventory only 34.3 pounds. His house was between the old church lot (afterwards Joy's building, now Roger's Building) and Court House Square. his widow afterwards married Thomas Saxton. Her father's, William Copp's will, gave legacies to his grandchildren, John and Sarah Atwood. the gravestone of her mother, Goodish (Judith) Copp is the oldest one in Copp's Hill Cemetery.
