Roland Henry Marshall, Sioux Falls,died Thursday, June 13, 2002 at Covington Heights, at age 81 years, 2 months, 1 day.

He was born on April 12, 1921 in Worthington, MN to William and Clara (Steiner) Marshall. Roland grew up and received his education in Worthington.

Roland was enlisted into active military service on September 3, 1942 at Ft. Crook, NE and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged on November 14, 1945.

Following his discharge he returned to Worthington and began to work at Campbell's Soup where he worked for 30 years retiring in 1983.

Grateful for having shared his life are his children, Roland (Angie) Marshall Jr., Sioux Falls, SD, Michael Marshall, CT, Douglas (Heather) Marshall, Canistota, SD, Shawn Marshall, Sioux Falls, SD, Nancy Halma, CA, Jolene Marshall, CA, Cheryl (Bob) Hepp, Sioux Falls, SD, and Candace Marshall, Sioux Falls, SD; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, two brothers, George and Homer and a sister, Virginia Sowles preceded him in death.

Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery Minneapolis, Minnesota
