"Bruce Madsen June 30, 1954 - August 02, 2021

Bruce Madsen, 67, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on August 2, 2021, at his home in Sioux Falls. Private Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2021, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. Public memorial visitation with family present to greet friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 5, 2021, also at the funeral home.

Bruce Madsen, son of Larry and Elnor (Pedersen) Madsen was born June 30, 1954, in Huron, South Dakota. He graduated from Huron High School with the class of 1972. Bruce went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from SDSU in 1976. He was united in marriage to Anne Housiaux on May 8, 1975, in Brookings, South Dakota. Following graduation, he took a job with Coca-Cola in Minneapolis before a transition to Sioux Falls. He dedicated 27 years to E&J Gallo Winery before his retirement.

Bruce loved spending time outdoors. Any time spent camping, backpacking, golfing, or hunting was time well spent. He always enjoyed his four-legged friends including past dogs, and current friends, Addy, Betsy, Molly, and Rowdy. Above all he loved being a grandpa and spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Anne of Sioux Falls; children, Christie (Matt) Pekoske of Sioux Falls, Michael (Karise) Madsen of Rapid City, SD, and Jean (Joey) Stoick of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Paxton, Penelope, Lennon, Palmer, and Kit; and sister, Dawn (Toby) Allen of Redwood Falls, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Elnor; and brother, Gary."
