"Clarence Boelman

CLEAR LAKE - Funeral services for Clarence E. Boelman, 57, Clear Lake, who died Monday at a Des Moines hospital, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. The Rev. Murray Severtson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Boelman had been in the trucking and furniture moving business in Clear Lake the past few years, and for 18 years before that was with the Farmers Grain Dealers Association plant in Mason City.

Survivors include his wife, Helena; three daughters, Mrs. Diann Sowder and Mrs. Bruce (Terry) Carlson, both of Clear Lake, and Mrs. Melvin (Cindy) Brown, Ventura; a step-son, Alvin Jacobs, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Lee (Irene) Doland, both of Springfield, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; five brothers, Ben, Henry and Andrew, all of Meservey; Harry, Belmond and Donald, Tuscon, Ariz., and four sisters, Mrs. Herman (Hannah) Modderman, Alexander; Mrs. C.K. (Grace) Johnson, Meservey, Mrs. George (Emma) Wessels, Belmond, and Alice Steinblock, Goodell.

Visitation is at the Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
