"Rodger Riekena Redding, Calif.

Memorial service for Rodger D. Riekena, 62 was Friday at Travis Air Force Base in California.

Mr. Riekena, who was born in Missoula, died July 3.

He served in the Air Force for four years. After his discharge in 1956, he came to Spokane.

In 1961, he married Liz Lamb in Spokane.

He worked for Broadway Truck Stop and later was a truck driver for B-Line Transport and Consolidated Freightways.

They moved to Alaska in 1974 and had lived in Redding since 1990.

Mr. Riekena is survived by his wife; a daughter, Julia of Sacramento, Calif.; two sons, Blake and Christopher, both of Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Larry of Spanaway, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society."
