In de geboorte akte van zijn dochter Frouwke wordt vermeldt dat hij niet kan schrijven.
Bij de huwelijkse bijlage is een bewijs van de Nationale Militie dat hij buiten oproeping bleef.
Opmerkelijk is dat hij hier de zoon van "Harm" is en van "Antje Jans de Vries"
In het Extract van zijn geboorte bewijs wordt als ouders genoemd "Harm Fridirichs en Antje Jans de Vries"
