"Carolyn Ann Miller

Miller, Carolyn Ann Carolyn passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the age of 68. She was born January 2, 1947 to the late Elvin and Louise (Thomas) Wakeman. Throughout her life, Carolyn enjoyed many outdoor activities including lifeguarding, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles and going to the beach. She also enjoyed traditional family excursions like watching the Lions play on Thanksgiving Day. She was known for her baking, especially her character cakes. In recent years, her favorite pastimes were crafting and spending time with her grandchildren. Carolyn worked for over 25 years building and managing credit unions throughout west Michigan. Seventeen of those years were spent as a consultant for the Michigan Credit Union League. For the past year, Carolyn resided at Life Care of Plainwell. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the center staff for the caring and compassionate manner in which they treated Carolyn and her family. Carolyn is survived by her children, Larry (Lisa) Peloquin and Bob (Melanie) Peloquin; 7 grandchildren, Derek (Alexandria Hale) Peloquin, Mackenzie and Gage Peloquin, Brenden, Jackson, Chloe and Sophie Peloquin; great grandchildren, Carter and Kya; brother, John Wakeman; sister, Mary (Ron) Grasman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Miller. A gathering to celebrate Carolyn's life will take place Monday, from 4-7pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo.
