"MARGARET ALICE DeVRIES Obituary Condolences

DeVRIES MARGARET ALICE DeVRIES, age 87, of Westlake Ohio, passed away Sunday Feb 2, 2014. She was born in Grand Rapids Michigan to Henry Van Straten and Alice Leighton. She worked at C&D Company in Grand Rapids where she met her husband Irwin and worked later for Spartan Foods warehouse. She is survived by her sons Robert (Lisa) DeVries of Westlake, Ohio and Richard (Jill) DeVries of Farmington Hills, Michigan; 6 grandchildren: Lynne (Brian) Christiansen, Delayne Rasmussen, Kyle Rasmussen and Robert, David and Melissa DeVries; 2 great grandchildren Adela Christiansen and Sigmund DeVries. Margaret was an accomplished piano and organ player and lived most of her life in Kentwood, MI before moving to Midland, Michigan for 10 years; then Westlake, Ohio for 6 years. Her husband Irwin and granddaughter Catherine preceded her in death as did her older brothers Fred and Peter. As per her wishes, there will be no service and she will be interned next to her husband at Georgetown Township Cemetery near Jenison, Michigan."
