He married Jayne Stubbe on April 26, 1959 in George, Iowa. They were blessed with three children, Dave, Jeff and Laura. The couple later divorced. ... He was a member of Community United Methodist Church. ... Survivors include, two sons, Dave and wife Dee, and Jeff all of Sioux City; a daughter Laura and friend Robert Peterson of Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Al (Judy) Claton, Mrs. Bob (Rosie) Fester all of Sioux City, Mrs. Larry Anna Marie) Martinson of New Castle, Neb., Mrs. Jerry (Ruth) Riley of Texas, Beverly Davis of Sioux City; brother-in-law, John Hanson of Sioux City; three grandsons; a granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George and Richard Earley, two sisters, Louise Hansen and Betty Wyant.
