Mrs. Anna Rustman -- lost her husband in Germany under most unfortunate circumstances. He had left home to sell some cows and never returned. Later his body was found in the North Sea and they learned he had been robbed and murdered. Then Mrs. Rujstman took her family and immigrated to Monock, Illinois, lived there for a while, and then came to George.

Children in the family were Anna (Mrs. Chris J. Locker); Frank (married Martha Kruse); and Tena (Mrs. Joe Fiihr), John, Harm, Dora and Katie remained in Illinois"

Frank Rustman -- son of Mrs. Anna Rustman, was married in 1900 to Martha Kruse, daughter of Albert Kruse. They were farmers, and every fall for many years Frank worked on Joe Fiihr's threshing crew running the separator.

The children of Frank and Martha Rustman were Anna and Lester (who died young); Harvey, Alfred, Alma, Mary, Bertha, Matthew, and Marceile (all of whom left this area); John (married Anna Hansmann); and Albert (married Sena Stubbe)."

Anna & her children went first to Monock, IL. There is a Frerich Classen Rustmann who died in Monock, IL.

It is my hypothesis this Freerk Classen Rustmann, whose obituary is given below is of the same family as the husband of Ann Rustman shown above. It would make sense that Frank C. Rustman, whose father's body was found in the North Sea has an Anglecized form of his birth name. - D.A. Navorska - xxiv Apr MMXIX - in proximo Grove, OK.
