From the rendering written for us by Herr Zimmermann we see the middle initial used by Ubbe in these United States most likely be for Wilke, his father's given name or a form of it as is given to Ubbe's sister Bebina. That would follow normal Ostfriesland naming convention. Also, Ubbe is given his older brother's name. The older Ubbe died in 1851. - D.A. Navorska - xvii June MMXVIII - in proximo Grove, OK.
