Note: John died while serving with the Alabama Militia. Milatary record see page 4 Clanton book by Arva Lee Vinyard. It is believed that John was a full blood Cherokee, but this has never been proved therefore this John or any of his descendants has ever been able to prove this and none are on the rolls of the Cherokee Nation. The area where John wa born was visited by Arva VINYARD. It is located NE of Chatanooga, TN. lmjones
