BRITT: Services for Mrs. Anna Eden, 76, who died Thursday at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 24 at the United Presbyterian Church in Woden with Dr. Richard Glasgow as officiant.Pianist, Mrs. Wayne Tjarks, accompanied Wayne Tjarks and Dale Meyer who sang as a duet. Calvin Eden and Fred Hugo, Jr. were ushers.

Casket bearers were Steven Eden, LeRoy Dirksen, Jerald Dirksen, Merlin Dirksen, Larry"

Mrs. Anna Eden, the daughter of Garrelt and Vipka (Smidt) Dirksen was born October 10, 1907 at Pesum, Germany. She came to the United States with her family in 1914 and settled in Winnebago County where they farmed. She was educated inthe rural schools in the Woden area. February 21, 1929 she was married to Edward Eden at Wesley. They farmed north of Wesley until March of 1969 when they moved into Britt. For the past three and one half years she resided at theTitonka Care Center. ..."

February 21, 1929 she was married to Edward Eden at Wesley. They farmed north of Wesley until March of 1969 when they moved into Britt. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and U.P.W. at Woden.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; her children, Mrs. Wilbur (Marian) Spear of Titonka, Mrs. Larry (Elvina) Garlock of Clear Lake and Robert Eden and his wife, Jacqeline [Sp?] of Wesley; 11 grandchildren, her foster sister, Mrs.Ralph (fannie) Janssen of Buffalo Center; two brothers, Henry Dirksen of Titonka and Meindert Dirksen of Woden.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Alice) Franzen; her parents, and a sister, Mrs. Christine Isebrand Anderson."
