Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ricklefs, Titonka will be observing their golden wedding anniversary Sunay, October 10, with an open house reception at their home in Titonka from 2-5 p.m. The event is being sponsored by their chilren, Mr. and Mrs.Harold Ricklefs and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ricklefs and family, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ricklefs and family and Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Phelps and family all of Titonka. On October 12, 1921 Tressie was married to Harry Ricklefs at Algona. The couple farmed north of Titonka until moving into Titonka in 1951. ... Tressie's husband, Harry, died November 3, 1982. On February 19, 1988 she became a resident of the Titonka Care Center where she died on Monday, August 24,1992 at the age of 92. Tressie is survived by two sons, Vernon Ricklefs, and wife,Darlene, Titonka; Melvin Ricklefs and wife, Loretta, Algona; ,one daughter, Betty Phelps and husband, LeRoy, Titonka, and one daughter-in-law, Mildred Ricklefs, also of Titonka. Tressie is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 29great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Kate Steenhard of Buffalo Center and Lena"
