Elso Sapp was born in Parkersburg, Iowa in 1892, the son of Harm and Elizabeth (Heitland) Sapp. The family, which included sisters and brothers Will, Kate, Lizzie, Henry, Herman and Tillie, moved to Buffalo Center about 1900 and farmednorth of town. Harm and Elizabeth had migrated from Wymeer, Ostfriesland, Germany in the 1880's. the oldest of their children were born in Germany, and the youngest (including Elso), were born in America. ..."
