1800, April 6, Cumberland Co., Real Estate Book, Vol 1, Bk-U, Page 33. Conrad Geese purchased 94 acres 67 perches on Conodoguinet Creek from George Clark and Jane his wife for $2866.67. George Clark had patented land of 290 acres and hesplit out 94.5 for Geesey. The land in Cumberland was heavy shale, making it poor land to grow because of the amount of rocks. This land was in Mifflin Twp., and was the land owned the land in the US Tax, Agricultural Report of 1798 taxmoney was a window tax, land and animals, and used for the War of 1812.
1801, Cumberland Co., Real Estate Book, Vol 1, Bk-D, Page 397. Conrad Geese sold land to Andrew Middleton, land indenture between Conrad and Catharine Geese, for 75 pounds.

In the 1800 census we find Conrod Geese (sic) in Mifflin Twp., page 261. I suspect that the female age 26-44 is his wife (Catharine). Therefore the older female (age 45+) would probably be her mother.
