Landscape Gardenr Here Dies at 67 Samuel S Hannah 67, of 51 Seedorff st, landscape gardener and a resident here since 1907, died at 2:25 am Sunday in a local hospital. He had been in failing health for 5 and 1/2 years and in the hospital since April 22. Mr Hannah was born in Syria on Dec 24 1890 the son of Mr & Mrs Solomon Hannah. He came to this country in 1906 and after a year in Streator, IL, moved to Battle Creek. During his 1st 2 years he was a partner in a cigar store. He then worked for the Michigan Carton Co and later became a bath attendant at the Sanitarium. About 1922 he bought a truck farm on Hubbard St and since then had been a gardenerand landscaper. He was a former member of the Odd Fellows lodge. He was married in 1915 to Virginia Alwood and later divorced. In jun 1935 he married the former Rachel R Fox who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 children by his 1st marriage: Mrs Raymond (Dorothy) Waid, Oxnard, CA; Mrs Shaw (Mary) Danels, Anaheim, CA; mrs Robert (Donelda) Barker, Burbank, CA; Mrs Norman (Veda) White, North Hollywood,CA, and Robert L Hannah, North Hollywood, CA; 6 grandchildren and 2 cousins, Joseph J and George J Hannah, both of the Seedorff street address. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at the Farley Funeral Home. The Rev Leland E Davis will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Hastings." <>
