Note: Doyle Wayne Bausman, age 76, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born July 11, 1933, on the family farm near Wellsburg in Grundy County, Iowa the son of Wayne Lawrence and Grace (Peters) Bausman. He received his education and graduated fromWellsburg High School in 1951. Doyle was united in marriage with Donna Jean Wolfe on July 12, 1951, in the First Methodist Church, Coon Rapids, Iowa. The couple lived in Wellsburg after their marriage then farmed until the late 1960’s. Doyle was employed with theAsgrow Seed Company, formerly known as O’s Gold Seed Company from which he retired in 1996. Doyle was a great outdoors man as he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of NRA and collecting guns was his hobby. He loved to share a good story. Doyle died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at his home in Parkersburg, Iowa, from natural causes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, on May 13, 1972; his parents and one son, Howard Wayne Bausman on February 13, 2006. Doyle is survived by four sons, James Dale (Marsha Madore) Bausman, Greenville, South Carolina; Robert Charles (Joyce) Bausman, Parkersburg, Iowa; Douglas Dean (Andrea Dominick) Wolfe, Des Moines, Iowa and David Lynn (Shari) Wolfe,Evergreen Park, Illinois; one daughter, Mary Jean (Dennis) Huisman, Aplington, Iowa; one step-daughter, Penny Lee (Craig) Thompson, Waterloo, Iowa and one step-son, Darin James (Becky) Stokes, Waverly, Iowa; his step-mother, GraceBausman, Aplington, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, Benjamin Bausman, Jacob Wolfe, Jordan Wolfe, Bailey Wolfe, Ellyssa Wolfe, Kylie Wolfe, Trevor Wolfe, Brent Garland, Piper Stokes, Parker Stokes, Travis Huisman, Kasey (Christopher) Sents,Shantel Stokes, Latisha Stokes and Kayla Stokes. Memorial Services will be held at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Parkersburg, (319) 346-1534. Family will greet friends following the service until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family of Doyle.
