Jesse J. Baughey, 85, of Tecumseh, passed away June 25, 2008. Jesse was born April 8, 1923 in Adrian, MI the son of Andrew and Marie (Snead) Baughey. On December 12, 1942 he married Doris M. Shaffer in Adrian and she preceded him indeath October 4, 1992.

Jesse was a resident of Tecumseh since 1942 and was retired from the Tecumseh Products. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II with Company B, 126th Infantry and was a Life Member of the Tecumseh American Legion Post 0034, amember of Tecumseh VFW Post 4187 and the Tecumseh Fraternal Order of Eagles. Jesse is survived by one daughter Mrs. Garry (Vicki) Sharp of Saline, 2 sons; Grant and his wife Judy Baughey and Joel Baughey both of Tecumseh; brother Howard J. Baughey of Tecumseh; 3 grandsons; Scott and Jeff Sharp and Kevin Baugheyand five great grandchildren

Besides his wife, Doris, he was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rose Mobley and a brother, George J. Baughey. Funeral Services were held Monday, June 30, 2008, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Fr. Carl Simon officiating. Burial followed in Brookside Cemetery with Military honors conducted by the Tecumseh American LegionPost #34 and Tecumseh VFW Post #4187.
