Kettwick, son of Harry and Hannah (Gerzema) Kettwick, was born in the old hospital in Buffalo Center on April 29, 1933. He was baptized and confirmed at the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center. He attended country schoolthrough 7th grade and then attended and graduated from Buffalo Center High School in 1950. ..."

"Hannah Kettwick, 91

Funeral services for Hannah Kettwick, 91, of Buffalo Center were held Monday morning, January 13 at 11:00 a.m. at First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. William Peake officiating. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery with WinterFuneral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Kettwick died Saturday, January 11, 1992 at Timely Mission Nursing Home.

Marlene Krull was organist and Diana and Brian Kramersmeier, the vocalists. The congregation also sang. Casketbearers were Bryan Wessels, Bruce Wessels, Darvin Kettwick, Michael Kettwick, Wayne Kettwick, David Kettwick, Kirk Moorhead andCraig Logemann.

Hannah Kettwick was born in Ackley, Iowa on November 7, 1900 to John and Bena (Hippen) Gerzema.

Pn February 4, 1931 she was united in marriage to Harry Kettwick in Buffalo Center. They moved to a farm northwest of Buffalo Center and were blessed with five 'children. In the fall of 1960 they retired and moved to town.

Hannah was a member of the First Reformed Church and the Ruth Circle.

Surviving are her children Geraldine Wesselj and husband, Jake of Buffalo Center; Harold Kettwick and wife, Deloris of Buffalo Center; Lenora Moorhead and husband, Kenneth H. of Rochester, Minnesota; Elvera Logemann and husband, Donald ofSwea City; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Krull and Adeline Krull, both of Buffalo Center, and a brother, Alvin Gerzema and wife, Velma of Buffalo Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; a son, Marvin Kettwick; a great-grandson, Tyler Kettwick; her parents, and a brother, Carl." <>
