Note: Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 from the First Methodist Church for Mrs Larry Ackerman, 27, who died Tuesday at the local hospital following a lengthy illness. The Rev Everett E Pencook will officiate. Burial will be in EastLaen Cemetery with the Vander Ploeg funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs Ackerman was born Carole kay Spiegel, daughter of Lee and Vera (McGanahan) Spiegel February 26, 1939 at Ocheydan where she was a 1957 graduate. Before her marriage August 7 1960 to larry Ackerman she attended Mankato CommercialCollege and was employed by the Federal land Bank Asssociation at Sheldon.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, at Harris; 2 brothers Delbert, Sioux City, and John Spiegel, Denver, CO; and 1 sister Donna Speigel, Spirit Lake, IA. She is also survived by her grandparents, Mr and Mrs FrankMcGranahan, Ocheydan and Mr and Mrs George Spiegel, Harris.
