"Freerk Van Briesen -- was married in Germany to Himke F. Daniels, a sister to Siemen Daniels and Mrs. Folkert Vander Werff. Their children were born in Germany. After two of the children were married and came to America, Freerk, hiswife and the rest of the family also came. In 1890 they settled on a farm north of George.

The children in the family were: Berend, or Ben (married Minnie Van Horn); Freerkea (Mrs. Ebe J. Eben); Jacob (married Jennie Jansen, Jacob was a shoemaker in Little Rock); Friedrich, or Fred (married Coba Christians); Gerhard or George(married Anna Van Briesen); Leonard (married Harmky Ackerman); Simon (married Jennie Willemssen); and Harry (married Rachel Van Horn)."
