"... what I know is that Johann Rudolph had a sister and two brothers; Engeline Maria Claasen Tholen b: 16 Mar 1865 in Riepe; d: 31 Mar 1941 in Emden (she was a grandmother when the "allies" bombed Emden and she perished in the bombingraids that night), Albert Claasen Tholen, b: 11 Aug 1861 in Riepe, d: 11 Mar 1926 in Riepe, Eibe Claasen Tholen, b: 16 Apr 1868 in Riepe, d: 28 Nov 1960 in Clara City, Minnesota. (Johann and Eibe immigrated to the US together in 1883.)Albert didn't have children. He played the organ at the church in Riepe.

Engeline married Christian Wilhelm Gottlieb Funk, a tailor and they lived in Emden. They had 6 children: Claas 1891, Fraukeline 1892, Wiemda 1894, Wihelmine 1896, Alberta 1898, Christiane 1909. The only child that I know of that hadchildren was Wihelmine. She married Walter Bender and they had 3 children, Heinrich 1927, Erika 1928 and Adolf 1933. Adolf is the one who lives in Freudenberg with his wife Ulla and his daughter Anke also lives there. Anke has abrother named Jan." <>
