Note: Waterloo, Iowa Courier PARKERSBURG - Dena Annette Westendorf, 88, of Deshler, Ohio, formerly of Parkersburg, died Wednesday, July 15, at Oak Grove Nursing Home, Deshler, of natural causes. She was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Bruce, S.D., daughter of Henry and Johannah Fischer Bohlen. She married Marvin Westendorf on Feb. 3, 1941, at Dumont Reformed Church Parsonage, Dumont. He died Nov. 17, 2004. Mrs. Westendorf and her husband farmed southwest of Allison and then moved to Parkersburg in 1967. She worked for Norwestco in Grundy Center and at the time of her retirement was the third-shift inspector. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, Allison. Survived by: a son, Keith (Sharon) Westendorf of Deshler; a brother, Larry Bohlen of Washington, Iowa; two sisters, Betty Aswegen of Parkersburg and Maxine (Dave) Magadanz of Clarksville; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: a son, Gary; three sisters, Carrie Everts, Annie Madsen and Matilda Loger; and a brother, Henry Bohlen Jr. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Reformed Church, Allison, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and for an hour before services atthe church.
