Dick Smith - - was the son of Enne Smith. He married Anna Gerdes at Forest City, Iowa, in 1894. The couple first lived in Minnesota, and in 1908 moved two and one-half miles south of George to what is not the Ed Korthals place. Ashorttime later they moved to the near-by Johnson farm. From then until now this farm has been rented by a member of the Smith family - - Dick, Ralph, and now Jerry.
