LATIMER '97 Leone V. Depping, 96, of Latimer passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Madrid Home for the Aging.
Funeral services for Leone V. Depping will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 12, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer. Pastor Lindsey Braun will officiate. Burial will take place in the Alexander Cemetery east of Alexander.
Visitation for Leone V. Depping will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Dugger Funeral Home, 320 East St., Latimer, and will continue one hour prior to services on Friday.

Leone, the daughter of Vernon and Mary Larsen Finkle, was born Oct. 31, 1916, in Hampton. She attended school in Hampton until 1929, then went to Latimer schools. Leone graduated from Latimer High School in 1934. Following graduation she spent time helping a neighbor lady who had recently had surgery. Leone later returned home to help on the farm.

Leone was united in marriage to Henry Depping on Oct. 10, 1940, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple farmed in the Rowan area for two years before returning to Latimer to her dad's farm. Henry and Leone were blessed with two children: Lynn and Kay.

Leone was a member of the Immanuel UCC Church in Latimer. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping and crocheting. Leone is most remembered, though, for how much she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren."
