"Marilyn Harms Becomes Bride of Lawrence Heyer.

Marilyn Harms, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harms, became the bride of Lawrence Heyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Heyer, all of Buffalo Center, at 7:30 p. m., April 7, 1952 at the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center.

Before an altar decorated with baskets of Easter lilies, a candlelight double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. H. F. Senne.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of lace and net, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, lace bodice and sleeves, net skirt with lace inserts over taffeta. Her Jorda fingertip veil was held in place by acrown trimmed with seed pearls and lace. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and white carnations. Her jewelry was a double strand of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom.

The maid-of-honor was Arlene Friis of Mason City, who wore a floor length, gown of aqua blue and carried a fan-shaped bouquet of pink and white carnations. Mrs. Harvey Heyer was bridesmaid. She wore a yellow formal and carried a bouquetidentical to that of the maid-of-honor.

Virginia Harms, sister of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a white satin gown and a flower head dress and carried a basket of rose petals. Kevin Heyer, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ringbearer. He wore a white coat with darktrousers and carried the rings on a white satin pillow.

Robert Berhow was the best man. Groomsman was Harvey Heyer. Ushers were Alfred Heyer and Merlyn Elman. James Heyer and Larry Yahiike were the candlelighters.

Nuptial music was provided by Carol Jutting, who also accompanied the vocalist, Gwen Jutting, as she sang, "Because", "The Lord's Prayer," and "I Love You Truly."

The bridegroom's mother wore a navy blue dress and a corsage of pink and white carnations. The bride's mother wore a blue dress and a corsage of pink and white carnations.

Following the ceremony, a reception was given for the 125 guests and served in the church dining rooms. The bride's table was centered with a four-tier wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom and bouquets of snapdragonsand lighted tapers on either side.

Mrs. Ray Elman cut the cake, Mrs. John Jutting poured, Dolores Dontje and Doris Bosma were the waitresses. Jean Levins and Gloria Benjamin arranged the gifts. Jo Anne Alberts had charge of the guest book.

Following a week's trip, they will make their home in Buffalo Center.

Mr. and Mrs. Heyer are graduates of the Buffalo Center High School. Mrs. Heyer, attended the Mankato, Minnesota Commercial College and is employed at the Farmers Trust and Savings Bank in Buffalo Center." <>

Mrs. Heyer passed away Saturday, December 31, 1988 at a hospital in Cameron following a lengthy illness.

Casket bearers were Alfred Baade, Robert Boekelman, Johnny Harms, Gary Hoover, Leroy Phelps and Roger Rippentrop.

Interment was in the, church cemetery 'with the Poland-Thompson Funeral Home of Cameron in charge of arrangements.

Marilyn J. Heyer was born June 2, 1933 in Rake, the daughter of William and Berniece Harms.

She was united in marriage to Lawrence Heyer and the Heyers lived at Titonka until moving to Cameron six years ago.

Marilyn was a dietary aide at the Cameron Nutrition Center and earlier had worked at the Cameron Manor Nursing Home.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Cameron, Martha Circle and the chancel choir.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence of Cameron; four sons, Marcus of Britt, Bradley of Granger, Paul of Titonka and Jeffrey of Urbandale; two daughters, Brenda Fauber of Beatrice, Nebraska and Janet Heyer of Urbandale. Also survivingare 11 grandchildren and four sisters, Beverly Harms of Woodward, Marsha Christenson of Winstead, Minnesota, Virginia Juhl of Milford and Roxanne Lewandowski of Silver Lake, Minnesota." <>
