Funeral services for Nettie (Van Dyke) Albers, 95, of Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away Friday, March 2, 1990 were held Tuesday afternoon, March 6, 1990 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Mankato, Minnesota with Rev.Charles Ortloff officiating. Interment was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery at Good Thunder, Minnesota with Landkamer Johnson, Boman Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Organist was Susan Klute. Casketbearers were Keith Frerichs, RobertFrerichs, Kevin Stecker, Robert Richter, Roger Hauch and Herb Arnold.
Nettie Albers was born July 14,1894 to Kamp and Nellie (Frye) Van Dyke at Woden. She attended school at Buffalo Center and Quinn, South Dakota and was a member of the first class to graduate from Quinn, South Dakota.
On September 15, 1915 she was united in marriage to George Albers at Buffalo Center. They made their home southeast of town until moving to a farm at Good Thunder, Minnesota in 1930. After the death of her husband in 1946, she moved toMankato where she did housekeeping for many years. Upon retiring she moved to the High Rise at Mankato where she lived until she entered St. Luke's Lutheran Nursing Home in December of 1987. She was a member of Our Saviour's LutheranChurch and was active in the afternoon circle.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
