"GREENE -- Norma Lee Neymeyer, 83, of Greene, died Thursday, Sept. 26, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City.
She was born Sept. 2, 1930, in rural Ackley, Harden County, daughter of Christian J. and Edna Ann Greve Freese. She married Emery Dale Neymeyer on April 7, 1949, at East Friesland Presbyterian Church, Hardin County. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Neymeyer received her education in the public schools in Ackley. She was employed for 10 years at Salisbury Laboratories, Charles City, as a laboratory technician. She and her husband farmed in rural Greene for many years.
«b»Survived by:«/b» a daughter, Cheryl Neymeyer (Brian Parrott) of Greene; a son, Loren J. Neymeyer (Pam Dole) of Ackley; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Darlene Faye (George) Bull of Rockford, Ill., and Sharon Kay Sietsema of Northwood.
«b»Preceded in death by:«/b» her parents, two sisters, Jeanette Shaffer and Erma Jean Moreland; a brother, Calvin Freese; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Sietsema.
«b»Services:«/b» 10:30 a.m. Monday at West Friesland Presbyterian Church, Ackley, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Greene, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
