Note: jerry (Jerk) Rogers, 64, of Reading, MN died Monday, June 30 2003 at Luverne Hospice Cottage, Luverne, MN. Born January 26, 1939 in Worthington he was the son of Hemmo and Martha (Graff) Rogers. He married Ethel Schmidt April 6, 1963 inReading.

He grew up and attended school in Reading and graduated from Worthington High School in 1957. He was a member of the National Guard. After marriage they lived north of Reading all their married life. He farmed with his brother andbrother-in-law. He also worked with Gary Roos Construction. He was amember of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Reading and served as a trustee. He was a member of the Reading Community Center.

Surviving are his wife; 3 sons Todd (Jackie) Rogers, Worthington, Jeff (Ann) Rogers, Reading, Tim (Melissa) Rogers, Rushmore, 1 brother Bill (Mary) Rogers, Reading, 3 sisters Bonnie (Harold) Weinstein, Apache Junction, AZ, Joan (Gary, Jr)Roos Worthington, Darlene (Russ) Wright, Byron, MN and 5 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 Wednesday at Dingmann Funeral home, Worthington. The service will be 11 Thursday at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Reading with the Rev Les Winters officiating. A private burial will be in the Reading Cemetery."

It is my hypothesis the cemetery called the "Reading" cemetery is actually the "Summit Lake" cemetery. It is the closest cemetery to Reading. - D.A. Navorska - xxvi Sept MMXI - Irving TX
