"Dear David, Hope that you received their marriage record that I sent. They were married in Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh, Eire. I gave you the list of children they had. John was the son of Adam and Isabella(Armstrong or Humphries). Adam was the son of we thought of Henry and Elizabeth. Now at this point it is believed that Adam was the son of Thomas, hence their first born son of John and Catherine wasThomas, who died at 25 from heart failure. He never married. You know about Isabella and Frank(Franklin?) and all their children. There is a web on Fulton county by Mark Lozer that has pictures and family tree there. All of the brothersand sister have blurbs written. Who they are married to, etc. I never met Herbert; Robert Jay's twin. Both born on May 20, 1904. I know that Isabella worked until she was 23, at being a housekeeper. I believe that they were indenturedservants who were sent to US. I also know that Isabella's Uncle John Bratton, was there in Swan Creek, Delta or Wauseon. Also her cousin Robert Bratton was there too, so maybe they went to Ohio because of having some family there. Myfather always said that there were Bratton's in NJ and they stayed with them to rest from their terrible voyage. Isabella was sick all the time. She could sing and did so while she worked. She lived with my parents while my sister Betty was so ill with Rheumatic fever. Betty died around the time that Isabella died. 1941/42 for Betty.

William and Adam Keys were babies born and died shortly after. Catherine was the daughter of William and Catherine Bratton Johnstone/Johnstone. It was told in the family that they came from Donegal. Don't know and cannot prove as yet.The Keys family was rumored to have been in the army of a great Lord of Scotland. The lads fought in the War on the side of the Swedish King. As a reward for their service they were given land grants in Ireland. We are tracing theirroots now, as they were part of the McKay(McKai) clan of Scotland. There are hints of their escapades. The Keys were transplanted Scots and I will believe that till my dying days. There are many 'cousins' out there and our strongestcrusader is Roy Keyes of Ontario, Canada. If I have confused you, I am sorry. Fortese, I had forgotten. I took Latin in school, some 55 years ago.

Pardon an old lady.

Keep in touch. Anything you would like to know, we will get seriously into this. Carol Watkins Miller" <>
