William "Bill" Teahon obituary, 1929-2024, Broken Bow, AZ

William Teahon Obituary
William "Bill" Teahon, 94, passed away Aug. 1, 2024 at Banner Ironwood Medical Center in Queen Creek, Ariz.

Bill was born Nov. 3, 1929, to Charles James and Clara Catherine (Franssen) Teahon in Anselmo.

He graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1948. He was a lifetime member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks.

Bill was able to repair or make almost anything. Because of this talent, as well as his knowledge of animals and the love of the outdoors, his jobs took him to the ranch life in Nebraska, South Dakota, Colorado, central California and then to Oakland. It was there that he became disabled.

Bill and Val moved to Prescott Valley, Ariz., and then after retirement, to Cordes Lakes, Ariz. In Cordes Lakes, he was an active member of the Little Church on the Hill.

Bill had a love of being with people. He was happy to tell a complete stranger a joke or showing them his "Pride and Joy." He loved to host barbecues, inviting family and friends, and having weekly jam sessions in his garage with local friends and especially entertaining with the Hill Top Gang.

After the passing of his wife, Valerie, he moved to San Tan Valley, Ariz., to live with his son Tim and daughter-in-law Kelly. He loved all the activity of their home with grandkids and great-grandkids.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Charley and Clara Teahon; sister Lois Cumpston; brothers Sammy, Jerry, Lee and Tom; wives Valerie (Ashe) and Waldene (Rookstool); son-in-law Max and daughter-in-law Farah; and brothers-in-law Gene Gracey and John Brewer.

He is survived by his five children Vickie (John) Carpenter, Sandra Richeson, Billy (Laurie), Tim (Kelly) and Terry; brother Jimmy; sisters Evelyn Gracey, Millie Brewer, Marlene Barent and Connie Britton; sisters-in-laws Rita and Jean Ann; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

In remembrance of Bill, a celebration will take place Saturday, Oct. 19, at the home of Tim and Kelly in San Tan Valley, Ariz.
